I am not happy with this snail but decided not to rip out and try again. Instead, I tried to embellish it with some beading. I used a technique new to me – dangling bead fringe (Embroidery Stitch Bible #150, page 144).

ReplyDeleteKathy, I am loving your blocks! So many great ideas, and I especially love that you are trying out new techniques and stitches. A project like this is so great to do that! I think my favourite so far is your cross stitch topiary tree...so cute!
ReplyDeleteYour snail is so sweet! That fringe stitch is so cool. I need to get ahold of that book and learn some new stitches! I only know around three stitch styles, and I can fake the look of one. :) Love your topiary tree also! (May have to borrow that idea!)
